How Our Hybrid Model Works
We're not a charity. We're not a corporation. We're a grassroots AI platform built on the belief that access to technology should never be a privilege.
We exist to close the AI access gap.
California Equity AI exists to close the AI access gap for communities that are too often priced out of technology. We support small businesses, nonprofits, youth, elders, and grassroots leaders with practical AI tools, training, and digital support.
We serve the people who are building their communities from the ground up — the shop owner on the corner, the community organizer running on volunteers, the elder learning to use their first smartphone, the high schooler who doesn't know yet that AI is already shaping their future.
Sustainable means we can keep showing up.
To keep this work sustainable, we use a hybrid grassroots model. Some tools, workshops, and services are offered through affordable paid plans. That revenue helps fund free and subsidized programming for the community — so we can keep showing up, keep building, and keep the door open.
Your subscription powers community programs.
When you subscribe to California Equity AI, you are not just buying software. You are helping fund practical AI access for communities that have historically been left out of the technology economy.

Sponsored access is funded through paid plans, community partners, and sponsors. Youth, elders, grassroots organizers, and underserved small businesses are encouraged to apply.
